The Angel Agenda.

Empowering the collective consciousness of young black and brown youth through cultural education, emotional intelligence, and transformational mentorship.

Encouraging the kids to believe in the possibilities life has to offer.

The Angel Agenda was founded back in 2018 as a response to a pressing need: to restore the power of self-worth and inner resilience within the black and brown community. Rooted in ethnographic realities of lived experience, the initiative grew from the soil of Broward County and is expanding to a global ecosystem of youth empowerment. Through cultural and mental educational programs, support initiatives and group building activities, we focus on the current and future well-being of the impressionable minds we serve.

We operate from the understanding that between adolescence and adulthood exists a fragile and sacred threshold — a liminal space where identity, memory, trauma, and possibility intersect. However, the journey toward self-actualization is often obstructed by inherited trauma, environmental oppression, and the systemic erasure of cultural agency.

Through community-led education, culturally informed wellness practices, and rites-of-passage–inspired programming, The Angel Agenda equips youth with the tools to transform their internal narratives and reimagine their futures.

Our

Philosophy

We recognize that trauma is not just personal, but intergenerational and systemic. The effects of racialized surveillance, economic displacement, and social neglect are etched into the developmental timelines of young people of color. Our work is to interrupt these cycles — not with charity, but with radical care.

We do not ask youth to assimilate into pre-existing systems of success. Instead, we ask: What if healing was the curriculum? What if leadership was measured in empathy, cultural intelligence, and the courage to be seen?

Core Values

  • Genuineness – We speak from soul, not script.

  • Ambition – We imagine beyond limits, because we’ve lived beyond margins.

  • Understanding – We listen between the silences, where truth lives.

  • Passion – We serve with fire and softness.

  • Kindness – We weaponize love.

  • Willpower – We rise, despite.

  • Individuality – We honor difference as design, not deviation.

Young Leadership Program

A Curriculum of Conscious Mentorship

The Young Leadership Program (YLP) is our signature after-school mentorship initiative for middle and high school students. Drawing on a rites-of-passage framework, this program serves as both sanctuary and laboratory — a space where youth are encouraged to explore their evolving identities while cultivating leadership through peer-to-peer mentorship.

Through intentional dialogue, group rituals, creative expression, and skills training, students in the YLP are guided through a curriculum that emphasizes:

  • Emotional literacy

  • Cultural consciousness

  • Purpose-driven goal setting

  • Mentorship modeling

  • Career exploration in the arts, academia, and entrepreneurship

Students not only fulfill their school-based volunteer requirements — they emerge as holistic leaders equipped to support the younger cohorts of our main program.

Why YLP Works:
Young people are often more receptive to peers than to authority figures. We honor this dynamic by creating layered mentorship structures where knowledge flows laterally and vertically — not hierarchically.

  • The Vision

We envision an educational landscape where wellness is foundational, creativity is cultivated, and cultural identity is affirmed. Our goal is to nurture a generation of emotionally intelligent, socially conscious young people who do not simply survive systems — they reimagine and rebuild them.

  • The Mission

To facilitate the self-actualization of Black and Brown youth by integrating cultural anthropology, mental wellness, and creative practice into educational environments. We equip the next generation with the knowledge, tools, and mentorship necessary to evolve into confident, conscious leaders.
